These instructions provide a general map for configuring your account. If your Android menues offer you different choices than those decribed below try to pick the closest match.
- Go to Settings
- Choose "Accounts & Sync"
- Remove any non-functioning accounts
- Choose "Add Account"
- Choose "Exchange and Active Sync"
- Choose "Manual Setup"
- Enter your email address
- Enter "owa.wlu.edu" as your Server address
- Enter "ad" as your Domain
- Enter your username as "ad.wlu.edu\username" and password
- Check the "This server requires an encrypted SSL connection." Box.
- Choose "Next"
- Select the items you wish to sync.
- Choose "Finish Setup"
- At this point you will be asked to accept the security policy and set a PIN if you do not have one.

If you're a W&L faculty member, staff or student, use any available Internet connection, on-campus or off-campus, and use a Web browser to access this page:

Follow the steps, entering your W&L username and password when prompted. After you complete this step, you'll connect to W&L's wireless network automatically whenever you're in range.
If you're not a member of the W&L community, find the wireless network named "wlu," connect, and open a Web browser. Enter your e-mail address, or, if you're a sponsored guest and have been provided with credentials for temporary access to W&L's wireless network, enter the user name and password that was provided to you.

Click the small button by the USB port on the bottom to turn on the screen. Swipe the yellow arrow left to unlock.
When the main screen appears, touch the small gear icon in the upper right. When the settings menu drops down, touch “Wi-Fi”.
Pull down if necessary, and touch WLUsec in the network list. When the form comes up, leave PEAP and select “MSCHAPv2” under Phase 2 Authentication, scroll on down, and put your AD username in the Identity box (ad\username). Type your AD password into the Password box, and touch Connect at the bottom. It should connect easily within a moment or two. |

- Go to the Settings app
- Select Wi-Fi
- Make sure Wi-Fi is on and choose the "WLUsec" network
- Enter your W&L network username (without the @mail.wlu.edu or @wlu.edu part) and password and tap Join
- When prompted to accept the network certificate, tap the Accept button
- Enter your device's passcode if prompted
- A checkbox next to the WLUsec network and the Wi-Fi signal icon in the status bar at the top should indicate that you are now connected to the network

Your are probably having this problem because your Mac is trying to use an old 802.1x setting. To delete these old settings follow these instructions.
- Click on your Apple icon, and go to System Preferences.
- In system Preferences click on the Network icon.
- Choose the AirPort in the left hand window, and click on the Advanced button in the lower right hand side of the Network window.
- In the Advanced window click on the 802.1X tab. At this point you will need to delete the existing user profiles. Click on any that exist in the left hand screen and click on the - (minus) sign beneith them.
- Click OK, and connect to WLU and rerun the the Cloudpath installer.

How do I access Outlook Shared Mailboxes with IMAP Clients (iPad, Droid)? (link) |
- Within your IMAP client add a new mail account
- For the full name field enter the shared mailbox name (or the name you would like to display when an email is sent from this account)
- For email address enter the SMTP email address for the shared mailbox.
- For password enter your own password
- For username enter ad/youraccountname/shared-mailbox-name (ex: ad/smithj/shredmail). Set account type to IMAP
- Set incoming mail server to owa.wlu.edu
- Set connection security to SSL/TLS using port 993
- Set the Outgoing Server to use SMTPA, and use your email/password for authentication. You will not acutally use this, but most IMAP connection require this step.

If you have a Mobile device connected to W&L email (Outlook) and it has been lost or stolen you will need to do the following ASAP:
- Login to Outlook Web Access (owa.wlu.edu for faculty/staff or mail.wlu.edu for students)
- Put in your user name and password
- Go to Options (this is located in the upper right)
- On the left of page click on Mobile Devices
- Select the device that you have lost
- You may choose to wipe the device to remove all of the emails from it remotely
- Delete the device from the list
- Click Save
